Unhappy - All wrong shades sent to me

I placed an order on 29 August. Order number 55491448. It arrived today and they have sent all the wrong shades. Probably someone else’s order! It’s never happened before and it’s so disappointing when you’ve waited ages for your items that you’re running low on and you open the box and packaging to find the wrong shades!

I want the rights shades I paid for as I can’t use the wrong shades! Send me the correct ones and a returns slip for the ones sent in error!

Edit update -

They sent an email stating it it will take 10/14 working days for a refund. I baulked at this response. Further I was told as an international customer they couldn’t resend the items I had ordered or send me a returns slip. I am now stuck with shades which I have no use for. I was told the code I used was now no longer active they couldn’t resend me another code to use. I could place a full price order and they would pay me back the difference. No appeasement here at all!

I was so annoyed so I opened a PayPal case and they then miraculously managed to refund me on the same day. They ought to do that anyway without vexing customers even further.

Always pay by PayPal when shopping with Tarte!

Pleasantly Surprised

I placed an order with Tarte through Paypal. Unfortunately, PayPal messed up the shipping address I entered so it was wrong. I didn't notice the mistake earlier so I contacted Tarte to check the issue of my delivered package. Once we figured the entered address was wrong, they still offered me a replacement promptly, I declined it as it was a mistake from my side but the gesture along with their fast responses were excellent.

Ordered foundation 35H (as previously…

Ordered foundation 35H (as previously used and is perfect match for me). I saw the packaging was new when I ordered but assumed it will still be the same product inside. It was completely different. Several shades off in fact. Contacted customer service to be told that 37H is the old 35H. Customer service more interested in promoting their products than dealing with complaint. Will not bother with their products again.

Cannot seem to get an order right!

I wish there was an option for zero stars. Their customer service is so poor. I ordered two products in the one shade and received two products in completely different shades. I was told they couldn't offer replacements and was asked to order again. Completely unacceptable and will not be using this company again. Do better Tarte!

I ordered a product from Tarte on 1 May…

I ordered a product from Tarte on 1 May 2022, which was not available in Australia. I was advised by an auto response email it would be received by me within 14 to 20 days after the purchase date. I live in Australia so shipping will be 14 to 20 days ?, apparently this is all due to Covid-19. As I had not received the product by the 27 May 2022, I then emailed customer service to enquire its whereabouts and was advised in the following response:... that it takes
1 to 3 days to dispatch,
14 to 20 to ship and
then few days to clear through customs. I should email them again if the product was not received by the 1 June 2022 for solutions.
I left it another week and contacted Tarte again on 8 June 2022, after I checked the tracking number which came in the second email. I noted the number stopped tracking on 27 May 2022. It was not clear from that tracking information whether it had actually arrived in Australia or not. In the email of the 8 June 2022 I asked if I could have the code to log into the Shipping Companies Website as this was the only way I could check where the goods were located. Tarte's response was more or less.. OOPS...it's lost in transit, we will refund you in 10 to 14 days. On your next purchase we will give you 20% discount. Please use this code. This is a disappointing experience to say the least and won't even bother engaging with them again. Their emails are so poorly written that it was never clear what amount they were going to refund. Whether it was the value of the shipping and product or just product. I received a further email from Tarte titled "Appeasement" (appeasement means pacifying an aggrieved person through negotiation). This was about the refund. Well no, its not appeasement you are fulfilling your contractual obligation because you have to refund me if the product is faulty or not received. Then I receive another email titled "how did we do", please give stars...really. I can honestly say I wish I had read Trustpilot reviews about Tarte before making the order. This company needs to rethink how they deal with international customers and how they write their emails. Buyer Beware.

Perfect delivery, on time, nothing missing

I was shocked by poor reviews and was scared to open my delivery once it arrived. I got everything I have ordered in perfect shape and condition, nicely packed.
The only challenge was that website check out does not work on my android phone, so I had to use laptop.

Lost my order after 2 weeks of waiting.z

Waited for two weeks and checked my emails and all of a sudden my shipped email had completely disappeared.. I contacted customer service who said “sorry we’ve lost your order, we can’t replace it or promise you will get the same offer as before. we’ve refunded you and it will take up to 14 days to receive the money back”
When I said I wasn’t happy with that I got asked to leave feedback and the chat closed.
Never experienced such disrespect for the customer base from any other company. Won’t buy from Tarte again.

Disgusting

Received a used empty maracuja juicy lip plump. That's Gross! First I received someone else's order then they were out of stock of what I wanted so they did refund me. Weeks later I received used lip color. Pathetic service.

No refund!

I purchased a foundation that ended up not working for me. I sent the item back, following Tarte's instructions. I never received a refund. When I emailed asking about it, I received BS responses telling me to contact my bank. Irritating, fake cheerful, crap replies, and they kept my money. I'll never order from them again!

WORST service

WORST service .
I ordered from tarte and every time they messed my order. This time i was given discount code to use but it didn’t worked. After discussing from tarte squad. I placed my order, they promised me to do price adjustment when order is shipped. Sheer LIE. I have all the emails and chat history as they promised.
Their service is so bad.

So this is not the end when my order arrived. Products were missing.box was damaged. When I emailed them all the pictures, they said you violated our rules. How can they run away with this. No refunds nothing. I wasted my hardearned money with this rubbish company.

Don’t waste your money as they don’t deliver what they promise.
And now not replying to any of my emails.

Worst service. So disappointing.

I just had this problem and I am currently speaking with a Tarte Customer Service Manager. They will claim that they didn't charge the card and they'll send you an email confirming that. What you can do is file a dispute case with your bank. It will take 30-90 days. Tarte is a horrible horrible company.
